This page explains how to delete your account in the Big Breath app (by Big Breath Publishing), what we delete and what may remain for a short time.
Delete it in the app
- Open Big Breath and tap the menu (☰) at the top right.
- Tap Account & Privacy, then Delete my account.
- Tap Delete account to confirm.
Your account is deleted from our server straight away, and Big Breath clears its information from your phone.
Ask us by email instead
If you no longer have the app, email [email protected] from the email address you signed up with and ask us to delete your account. To make sure the request really comes from you, we’ll reply to that address and delete the account once you confirm. We’ll delete it within 30 days of your request.
If Big Breath is still installed and signed in on a phone, it will save your progress again the next time it opens. Please uninstall it first, or delete your account in the app instead.
What we delete
- Your email address and first name.
- Your breathing progress: your Inner Silence total, the sessions you’ve completed and the session lengths you’ve unlocked.
- Your founding-member record, if you have one.
- Your choice about Big Breath news and offers.
- Your other account records: any membership, trial or purchase records and any sign-in records.
- Your details in our email service (MailerLite), including your Inner Silence total.
- When you delete in the app: the Big Breath information and settings kept on your phone. Uninstalling the app removes anything left there.
What may remain, and for how long
- Backups, up to 30 days. Our database provider (Cloudflare) keeps automatic restore points of our database for 30 days, so deleted information can remain in those backups for up to 30 days before it’s gone for good.
- Our email service, up to 30 days. MailerLite removes you straight away and completely erases your details within 30 days.
- Your email to us. If you ask by email, we keep that message as a record of your request.
- Founding-member numbers aren’t given to anyone else, so if you sign up again you’ll get a new account without your old number or progress.
- Google Play keeps its own records, such as app installs, under Google’s privacy policy.
